My baby is 4

Grayson turned 4 on Sunday! I can't believe the little boy that we never thought we would have is now 4!!!

Grayson LOVES all things cars and transportation and all things fire trucks or police officers. So we decided that we would have a birthday party at the local fire house. We figured he would be a great party to have cake on the back of a fire truck. What 4 year old wouldn't love that!

The local fire station was amazing. They are a team of 4 there and they were all ready when we got there. They had a very busy morning so we went ahead and sang Happy Birthday FIRST so that if they got called out on a call, the fire fighters at least got to sing to Grayson.

After singing we went out to the fire trucks. We had a whole bunch of 4 year old climbing all over the fire trucks and listening to the fire fighters. The firemen talked to them about what they looked like in full gear. They answered any questions the little kiddo's had. And then they just went nuts on the fire trucks. 

Last but not least we just had a good time. We sang happy birthday one more time ( yes that was twice) and we ate cake and opened presents. We then left and I had no mess to  clean up. In fact, the firemen were so amazing, they had most of everything cleaned up before we were even done. We LOVED it. 

Grayson has had a great birthday. He LOVES Lego's and he got plenty of them to play with. Paw patrols were a plenty and best of all he got the CUTEST little thing named Shelby. She is a cute little Gray Tabby cat. She was rescued from the Humane society and she is beautiful and tiny and perfect for him and us. Within a few days, she was acting strange and we had to take her into the vet. After a round of antibiotics she is doing so much better and is honestly the perfect match for our family. 

We are so thankful for Grayson and what he brings to our family.  We would be missing a little piece of our family and we would be missing that one big piece. We are so thankful that He was sent to us when he was suppose to be. 

So Baby Grayson- In the words of your new favorite obsession, Everything is awesome.. You are awesome. You are the most important thing in the world to us! We love you Baby G

Busy Bee Preschool

Since Christmas we enrolled Grayson in the cutest little preschool. The teacher was a lady named Brittany.  Miss Brittany had her hands full in the afternoon, and she had a class full of only boys. And the boys are all close in age ( like 3 weeks tops!!) They all love paw patrol and they are just super super cute kids.

We have LOVED Miss Brittany. I love her so much she as become such a great friend. I have loved having her little over to play with Grayson and Grayson couldn't have a better friend.

Next year we are going back and he is going to go with her almost all day. I couldn't ask for a better person to have my kid with.

Thank you Miss Brittany for all you do for Grayson and loving our babies while we are away!!

My little baby is a Little Boy

July 12, 2011 at 4:46 pm our world turned upside down by a sweet little boy weighing in at 6 lbs 4 ounces. 3 years later at 25 pounds and more than half the height of the his older brother and is as spunky and stubborn as could be!

3 years doesn't seem like a long time. But lots goes on in 3 years. It goes by so fast. You look back and wonder where that baby went. Yet, you look at them and think they are still your sweet 1 year old.

Grayson's face hasn't changed much since his birth ( I don't think) It has come in and out as round and chubby. His hair has changed from red to Blondie and he has turned into a funny, funny kid, but oh he is a terror.

( Grayson says Glasses like "asses" and I don't care.. I giggle)

There are so many things that make Grayson Grayson.  Here is the list we came up with today:

• He is a momma's boy to the extreme. He sleeps with me still. Pretty sure if I still had a uterus and didn't spend time away from him in the hospital with a hysterectomy, he would still nurse. 
• He is FUNNY! Today, after him being caught actually biting and chewing through rocks AND swallowing them, we gave him 5 laxatives over the last 2 days. FINALLY it was kicking in the SECOND grandpa came in the door. He locks himself in a room. When I get the door unlocked he said " mom I need my privacy, tell poppa I will be down in a minute!"
• He is a terror!! He as some anger management problems. He hits, bites, kicks, destroys things in one sweep and if he is tired as could take down a nine year old and a fat momma. He slaps too. Oh he can slap.
• He is a helpful brother. He always tries to make sure Ty is included in things. He goes with Ty everywhere. He tells him every night that he is his best friends and that he loves him. He even tells people that sometimes he falls cause he has "cerebral palsy but that is ok."
• He tells us " I cuddle you" and will want you to lay down wherever you are and cuddle. He LOVES it. 
• He loves to help cook and pretend play. He is just sweet.

There was such a huge hole waiting to be filled and he did a pretty good job. He isn't as much medical stress as Tyler but he is so typical that he is always on the go. Even with the desire to have one more and that I am missing one, I wouldn't give up this baby for the world.

One thing that has grown in the last year is my testimony of how much family means to me. There is so many things that we have gone through that has shown me that each one of the boys were in our home for a reason. My baby is perfect. He is going to great things. I am so thankful to be his mom and I hope as he grows older he keeps having a great relationship with his brother and that he will do his best to keep his sweet innocence for as long as possible.

He had a fabulous little birthday with just Tyler and Grandpa. His little friends were out of town/or mom is ready to have a baby. So we kept it low key, over "presented" him and watched him love on his poppa.

Thank you baby Grayson for coming to our home. Thank you Grayson for being Grayson.

*Thanks Grandpa for driving 600 miles to come eat KFC and cake. It was well appreciated. We hope your flight home is fast and you can get back to grandma the old lady/naked grandma, and you don't worry to much about how much she misses you!*

The many faces of Grayson

Trains....... Things that move...... Garbage trucks. No really, if it goes down the street and makes noise he wants to see it.

He is a creative little toot for sure. But when he wants to relax and kick his feet up, he will find his own way to do it. 

We have never had a neurotypical kiddo, so my over active/ hypochondric self tends to freak out. Our awesome PA is always willing to listen. But this kid gets more than his fair share of "smart" app time on the Ipad. He eats rocks and sometimes, you just gotta LOVE that little cute face. I love that face! 

Our trips to Tori's "par ma see" is one of his favorite things. And usually a baby comes with him. Oh how Tori at the pharmacy loves his little face! 

Every morning he is in bed with me and he says " Mommy I need a cuddle." But he HAS to be in my bed. He never sleeps alone. Nothing we have tried works. I am his big fat security blanket. But his sleeping is my most favorite thing. He is so sweet. He has to be holding my hand, or hugging me or touching me. And just a hand on his sweet heart to know he is still with me, sure does heal a broken heart a little at a time.  ( Now if only he will sleep when we move to our NEW HOUSE!!) 

But his MOST favorite thing is to sleep in a sleep over with his brother. He wants to sleep in Tyler's bed every single night. He has even left my room and his room to go curl up with Tyler. Thankfully, Tyler sleeps through it all. 

And he always finds cool ways to be Grayson. 

He is a pretend play freak. Loves to make pizza's, fix cars, drive cars, and play in a kitchen and best of all, he takes GREAT selfies!

This little kiddo gave me has been so hard and so rewarding. I am pretty sure that it is just payback for all the things I did as a kid and all that Dallas did. But most of all, we wanted him so much. We did everything we could to have him. We had so may procedures, and so much heartache to get him here. We had more drama than we EVER wanted when we finally got pregnant with this sweet spirit. We were told we "ruined" someones life and ostracized and blamed for things that were just mean, mean.( which by the way, these same saints didn't exactly tell us in a way that allowed us to process the last 4 kids, because empathy is not their forte) But all we wanted was someone to love. Some sweet spirit to have for Tyler to have a sibling. He is the icing on the cake for us. He keeps us on our toes, he gives us no sleep. But he is the best and perfect brother for Tyler. And perfect sweetness for me and Dallas. 

* Disclaimer: While it has been brought to my attention that I am hurting someone's feelings by voicing my feelings that happened when we found out we were pregnant with Grayson. For writing in my blog, I am sorry that it hurt your feelings. My feelings were and still are hurt but my apologies.*

The little brother

Grayson adores Tyler.  He will follow him from here to anywhere. He knows when things are not going great and in true brother fashion, really rubs salt in the wounds! He is a terror when it comes to Tyler. He has a problem with leaving him alone, not biting, hitting or jumping on him, but most of all he has to do EVERYTHING that Tyler does.

From the time that Grayson was a month old he has attended Therapy with Tyler. We started in Utah and have just kept going. Here in Arizona we have 3 therapies and Grayson joins in often.

 After surgery, Tyler didn't really want to walk a whole lot so he crawled all over. Grayson followed. Tyler had casts on his feet, Grayson made sure his monkey had one too.

We went to the zoo right after surgery with Tyler's class, and sure enough Grayson wanted to go too.

He really is his best little friend.

We have a few things that we need to work on when it comes to Grayson. He had a well check ad follow up with a private agency and it seems as tough we need to Grayons some extra therapy. We are hoping it will help with a lot of his behavior at home. But really we love him to bits and pieces. 

Happy 9 Months Baby G's

Baby Blue eyed Baby G’s is 9 months old! We love him OH so much. The smile he gives his dad is a killer and tonight, he flirted with the girls behind us and I am pretty sure they were gonna take him home.... until he cried ;)



That’s right. He is a crier. Poor kid wants his mom still. Can’t blame him. I hold the key to his food. Yep, 9 months exclusively breastfeeding and formula going to waste in my cupboard. I still stick in a pumping moment while we TRY to get him to take a bottle. It is getting better.


Now if we could just convince others to baby sit for us... WE PAY WELL!!

No really, he is a sweet loving and snuggle baby. He does not like people who he doesn’t know. He doesn’t like to not feel well and he loves eating and sleeping with me.

We are thankful you came to us Baby G and hope that we are well on our way to milk by the time we port out!

Happy *8* Month Birthday My Blue Eyed Baby

This is my sweet, messy face, blue eyed, boobies monster punk! He is a terror and a loving baby all at the same time. We are so proud of him. He officially is CRAWLING!! He gets around for sure! He is a little timid about it but we don’t mind. He loves himself some sweet potatoes but hates to get his face washed. If we have no where to go, I let him where them. He is a prunes kinda dude. He is a nursing FOOL. And he still co sleeps and has his own pillow so I can get to him faster and he can snuggle and eat whenever he wants. Hopefully that will be slowly changing. But He is one of the 3 loves of my life.

I am so proud of what he has done. I am so in love with his talking and jabbering and singing. I am in love with how much he loves Tyler. He is a trooper and skips yaba juice time sometimes while we deal with other issues. But he get all the yaba soup he can handle when we get our time. I LOVE our time together. I love him.

We didn’t see the doc so the closest weight I have is 15 pounds. He is a tiny little toot... but a Crawling ( ahead of schedule) TOOT!

Happy 7 Months Baby Gray's

Baby Gray's is seven months old. He is growing so fast and getting so big and we LOVE it. He is actually pretty dainty( about 14 pounds. Not sure on the inches. Sorry!) for his age but he is growing and that is all that matters to us. He loves Tyler. LOVES Tyler.  You can pretty much bet on a smile when Ty is in the room. He loves to put things in his mouth. He likes to cry and prefers his mother over anything... including food( like baby food) , sleep etc. He is horrible at napping, likes to make his mom sit and hold him for naps and nurses at any whimper. He hates people who take him away from his mom. Did we mention he has a thing for his mom...

We love you Baby G! A few more weeks and you will really be off and we will have to put you in baby jail. We hope you learn to sleep in your crib soon and that you will know that other people exist other than your mom...
