Met Snowboob!

She is Tyler's newest friend.

As we were putting together "things" to make a snow man face We came up with random and some what original things and Tyler decided to tell us where they all go.

The mouth is a piece to connect 4 that is shaped like a smile. The nose, and eyes are heart shaped slinkies and the arms are heart straws.

The front is 2 pop beads Ty affectionately called BOOBS and stuck them right in!

The heart was taken from my valentine craft and set in perfect view .

And of course Barney does get in on the action.

We LOVE mail!

Remember the post announcing we won a Barney video? Well, UPS came by while Ty was at school ( He was almost home.) So I left it on the front porch and thought I would take pictures of it instead. So To The Max, this fun stuff is for you!

Ty was getting off the bus. We had to check the regular mail first.

He finally realized that HE had mail on the steps and was looking around.

Seriously he as so excited. I loved it. Especially since I KNEW what was inside.

Every day after school we sit on the bottom steps and go through his backpack. He STILL made us but he wouldn't let go of the package.

See... not letting it go!

As soon as we were done looking at his school stuff he signed dad and took off. Honestly, he signs dad.... Frequently.

So we took off and went downstairs to dads "office" and we opened the package.

( The video is so that we can have sound. His sounds are HILARIOUS!)

So if you don't want to see Ty for 2 whole minutes don't push play. It does show how we communicate most of the time. He does a pretty good job. We love him to bits!!

( Oh and it was taken on my little camera/video so any time I zoomed the sound goes out. Hooray for not pulling out our nice video camera. Maybe I SHOULD look for it)

And for those not fluent on Tyler language.. The hitting of his head is his way of saying "Dad" and the pulling is his way of saying he wanted it off or PULLED open. He is saying wow a few times and ohhhh... And he was showing Barney his movie too!

TY WON!

I recently entered a contest for a BARNEY DVD. Only because Ty's best friend is Purple and Barney and it is one that WE DO NOT HAVE!!

Well we got an email yesterday with a shouting HOORAY! Ty and I won. Sprouts is giving us a copy of the movie lend a helping hand with Barney, Bob the Builder and Fifi and ROARY! I am sure Kipper will be thrown in there to!

A National Tragedy Has Occurred!

Dear Uncle/ Doctor Barrett,

A small... NO LARGE national tragedy has occurred at our house. It is in need of a doctor. My mom isn't very good at fixing stuff like this. We have NO idea what we will do.

My best friend Barney is dying. Like REALLY dying. Soon his head will fall off! he is my best friend. I even eat his hand. I dripped wax on his face and mom put him in the bath and there are a few more places that could use a doctors hand.

His tummy is coming apart, his head is coming off and I am afraid he is going to be come a amputee. If you could give my mom some tips. She doesn't even need to make it look as good as you would do.

Tyler, The Adventure Bus, and his bear.

Given the not so fun topic that we had last post I thought I would share a little with you about Tyler, The adventure bus and his bear.

Yep THIS is his bear that we use for his comparison pictures when he was 24 hours old. He is playing with it, loving it and throwing it. ( I know.. shocking that Tyler would THROW something.)

Isn't it amazing how big he has gotten.

So the TYLER part of the post.. Oh he is Naughty. Oh he is just naughty naughty. Today he was up super early and thanks to his dad not sleeping he was watching movies in his office with his dad. BUT, throughout the day he kept going back in. After emptying his bucket of toys 6 times I finally agreed to let him watch a movie in the office. He got his lunch, and his drink in there. I went about doing some things in the house and went to check on him. SURE ENOUGH in true typical Tyler fashion he had spit it out. ALL over his dads stuff. Like computer stuff. Oh I was mad. I put him in Time out, took off his clothes, took away his blanket so I would wash it and cleaned up the rest of the office. I thought he had learned his lesson.

Later this evening, Ty had a drink and me and his dad heard the spitting sound of yet another Tyler fountain. This time he was in big trouble. He was put in time out for longer than normal. Talked more sternly to. He had to pick up all his toys with no help. He didn't get a piggy back ride to the shower and he couldn't take a bath because he was naughty.

He then helped me make brownies and was doing so well. He was offered a drink. YEP, you guessed it. He spit it out. Making a fountain. OH I WAS MAD. He went back into time out until bed time.

Now for the adventure bus.

This is Barney and his adventure bus:

The adventure bus takes kids all over the place. But they first sit on the bus and buckle their safety belts. Well, grandpa hasn't given Tyler a bus but he has a John Deere Tractor. Any time that John Deere tractor is out and adventure bus is starting you get THIS:

He positions the tractor just right, buckles his safety belt and in the words of Barney "Away we go!"

The funny kid

I am going to be a mom and brag about my funny kid for a minute. The last few weeks and months have been so fun to see things click with Tyler. He is so much fun. He spends the days entertaining us all.

When I left for work on Monday I left 2 boys playing leap frog in the living room. Ty was laying down for Dallas and trying to Jump. He is so smart. He watched Barney play leap frog and he was playing all alone so D jumped in.

Then me and Dallas were watching Ty go through a song of telling us his ears could hear and his eyes could see and he was pointing to all the right parts and laughing when he got done. He would point to all our parts when it got to us singing it with him.

He is drawing circles ( they don't look a THING like a "real" circle) but they do have lots of jagged edges and they start and finish in the same spot. He makes a little noise he learned while he does them.

The best is when we lay down for a nap and he covers up his head. ( Yes Grandma L he sleeps with a blanket on his head just like his mom) and he moves his little blankie and he smiles and I tell him that I love him a million and he says back " I love you."

In a little over a month and a half I will have an official 3 year old. Never did I expect motherhood to be like this. It is way better than I could have imagined.

NO NO!!!

I have the most cutest thing living in my house! His name is Tyler. He is amazing and so smart!

Because of his love for his music he has started doing amazing funny and absolutely CUTE things. A little bubba story for all you FANS out there.

On one of the Barney's he tells the story of the 3 little pigs. It isn't exactly like the one we are use to. But the gist is the same. Anyway, when the wolf goes and tells the little pigs he will blow their house down, the pigs say NO NO! Well, after watching it with him the other day he was sitting with his dad today and when the wolf said his BIG line guess what Bubba said...... That's right NO NO!

He has not been wanting to say dad lately either.. instead he says no no mom! Laughs and goes on his merry way. Poor D but cute as heck.

Singing happy and you know it when they say your face with surely show it he touches his face and smiles. Not to mention doing ALL of the clapping, stomping and hoorays that are there.

And the best news of all!!!! I have been approved for Vacation on June 1-7. Stay tuned for updates on our trip. Yes, I know it isn't what every one had planned but it is something we need... badly!! So get your girls night out planned.

He is so big!!!

For the last several weeks we have been watching Ty and have been in awe of how great he is. He is so sweet and so cute. He makes us both smile every day. He makes our day. He is such an amazing kid.

He is a perfect subject for my new photo craze. Today was no exception. As I was watching him from around the corner I watched him. I smiled.

For some reason he has this obsession with climbing on things. He climbs on EVERYTHING. I love it. It shows how big he is getting. Well, we have a step stool and I decided that instead of him trying to stand on toys I would put the step stool there. I sat him down on it and then walked away. He slowly climbed up on it where he stayed for awhile. But this is what I got!!
