I am SOOO tired of walmart! I use to like going in and shopping there. I would only go for groceries and would spend TONS of time going and browsing. I loved looking at all the stuff, I would love seeing all the new decorations and the makeup was always fun to look at. Now.. Nope!
I have LONG shifts on the weekend. I work between 5 and 9 hours and by the end of the day I wish people would not come in any more! The worst is that now that Halloween is over and Christmas started BEFORE that people are not in happy moods. In fact they are down right rude. The spirit of thankfulness and giving are gone especially when everyone sees ALL the cash registers that walmart has and only 2 open.
I get that everyone is thinking " Yeah, I want to know why there is no one opening them?" I will tell you why. THERE IS NO ONE WORKING AT THE WALMART ON SUNDAY NIGHT. I wish I was kidding but I am not. After 7 I was left with 2 cashiers. I was alone and no manager was answering to get me more help. When they did... there was not a soul in the store!
Regardless, a lot of things have happened this weekend that makes me so glad to have my life and to be more than grateful to have my trials and my weaknesses and my family.
Friday I went to exchange Tyler's crib. There were 2 people there who had driven from Tennesse and they had no place to stay and were sleeping in their car. The girl was pregnant. They wanted to know if they parked in our parking lot if they would be kicked out.
I called a few shelters and a few pregnancy crisis places. But in Arizona you can only have a crisis M-f 9-5. Not kidding. I didn't see them on saturday. Today they were there. They were still in their car. The pregnant girl had not eaten in days. I felt so bad.
A member of managment gave her some money but I felt really bad. But it made me even more greatful for a job and for a family and for others who love me that would never let me be alone.

Happy 200!!!
Happy 200th blog post to me!!!
Since there is no official traditional 200th blog post I am taking up the suggestion of my SIL Crystal and opening up the post to YOU!! I am sure I don't get that many people visiting my here said blog but regardless, those that read you are the most important!!
So here are the rules....
1. Leave me a comment and ask any question(s) and I will answer them. They can be anything and I will answer as truthfully as possible.
Hard rules I know.
I am also "giving away" 3 items. All are representing me as a mom, Aunt and friend.
1. Ten dollar gift card to Walmart ( cause I work there)
2. Ten dollars towards product over at Kidscessories ( A wonderful website that I plan to buy a million things from if I ever have a girl. It is owned and operated by my SIL Chantel and her friend from Med school.)
3 Ten Dollars toward Mary Kay cosmetics over at Crystal's mary Kay website!( Crystal is my Sil as well and she has a mary kay business along with a million other things going on!!)
Leave a comment and 3 people will be randomly selected. If you only have boys we will refrain from the kidscessories option but I know I have Moms with girl readers out there!
Winners will be announced one week from Today! Questions will be answered at the same time of the winner announcment

The week.
Yes there were frequent updates and that is good. Why is that good? I hate that all you people who I read don't update but once a week. So start typing so I can stalk and read you.
My most interesting stuff happened at the end of the week. However, I LOVE getting packages ( Hint to anyone who wants to send me stuff!!) and have now become a frequent stop by all of the mail carriers in the area. I have received packages this week from EBay, Overstock, some random electronic place ( yeah not mine) and another from amazon. So yep we are friends with them all. To bad they doorbell ditch!!
So what did I get? Amazon I ordered a few new books. I have enjoyed a series from a lady named Beverly Lewis. She writes about an Amish community and I am on the last of a 3 part series. I really like them
Got one from Jodi Picoult and can't wait ti try it. And of course a Baby Einstein. It is a puzzle shape book. And I have currently found the triangle and square in the kitchen. Not where it is suppose to be.
EBAY!! I love that thing. Now, you can't laugh at my purchase. ( Well you can but be nice) I won a auction for the re-release of .......... Richard Simmons "Sweating to the Oldies." 20 year anniversary on DVD. Why you ask... I needed a workout video that I can do with Ty. I need to start moving so I can have a lower risk of early delivery ( when I decide to have a baby.. I mean WE decide to have a baby) Man it brings back memories... Miss Barnes !!!!!
Overstock brought me my bed set. Love it. Better than I thought it would be. The bed skirt was a queen and not a king so they are sending me a new one. But everything else is great and I love it.
The rest of the stuff was Dallas' and I am sure he enjoyed every bit of it.
The rest of week was kinda blah till Friday. Friday was SOOOO funny.
Dallas has a issue with is neck. A bulging disc or something like that. You can read about it on his blog and what they do for it. Anyway he had another procedure done to help it feel better. He has done this before and this time was a little different. It early early. (For those that don't know us or him we do NOT do early early. ) He was way more out of it. They came to get me to try and get him to wake up. The started asking him questions. Random ones and he would try to answer and then fall asleep. It was so funny to watch.
As they sat there they asked me to help him get dressed. He had on a hospital gown and I went to untie it in the back. Got it off and started to help him take it off. He grabbed my arm and said "ok baby, now it is your turn to take something off!" I snickered and you could hear giggles from behind the sound proof curtain. He then put his hand on my cheek and said "I love you baby" he was so "not" Dallas. It was SOOOOO funny .
As they started asking him questions again they asked him how big his baby was. He said 1.5 oz. I corrected him and he looked at me kinda sternly and said " I guess it depends on who you ask"
He was so funny. He told me he wanted toast for breakfast but couldn't stay awake long enough. He finally got enough sleep to function and was back to Dallas. He was so funny.
I also was able to clean the kitchen from top to bottom, the front room from ceiling to floor and part of the outside with Dallas. Ty spent the day in and out and LOVED it. We had to take a shopping trip to walmart where I was able to get Ty's glasses fixed and get new pillows for the bed and off course groceries. Ty loves the store. Every cashier comes out to see him and the bakery and deli people always gives him cookies. He wore his glasses so he was nice and perky and looking all over.
Today I worked and Dallas was so kind to let me sleep in. It was so nice of him. Ty decided to be super clumsy and fell a lot today and got owies ( or BOO BOO's) but took them in stride. Dallas and Ty surprised me at work and Ty wanted to get down. I set him down by a register and he WALKED over to the soda case and opened it. I was so excited to see him walk that he got a soda!!
Anyway.. that is the story of us this week. If you made it to the end I hope you laughed like we did. Good night and hope you all have a wonderful week!!

Finally hitting.......
Work sucked today. I can't even begin to tell you how bad it has sucked this weekend. My head was somwhere else and I didn't want to be there not to mention how stressful the management has been the last 2 days.
For those that don't know, I am a supervisor there. I run the front end. Usually there are a few of us on shift at a time but there never seem to be enough of us. Someone is always needing the help. Not to mention how incredibly horrific some of the customers are. No offense walmart shoppers you are NOT nice. You treat the cashiers there with so much disrespect and disdain. They don't make a lot of money. Don't treat them badly. They are just there to do their job and try and do their best.
Our store is new. It is in an area that is not overly developed yet and the goal here in Arizona is have a Walmart of every exit on the 202. ( for those in Utah it would be like having a walmart off of every exit on either the I-15 or more closely the 2-15) Those who live in other places .. well every exit on your major freeway. There is a walmart up the street from us and there is a walmart going in between our house and where I currently work. (Not sure which is closer but it is starting to look so appealing.. even the hard manual labor of store set up) So there is not a lot of business at my current walmart. We do get busy.. but not like normal walmart busy. Anyway, being that it is my job to do lunches and breaks and have cashiers for the oh so pleasant walmart shoppers I get screwed. Tonight I was alone. There was no other supervisor to help out and we had 2... that is right 2 cashiers for the Sunday rush. Oh.. and let me tell you.. I had NO ONE.. that is right zero people at customer service and NO door greeters. Customer service closed at 8 PM tonight. People were PISSED.
So this is how my day went at work. Got there at 2 after plenty of melt downs with Ty. Not sure what his deal was but he had some issues all day today. ( at least with me.. I love him and not sure what the deal was. (Of course he stopped when Dallas came in to the picture...) When I got to work I walked past the shopping carts where there were a total of 4. I let management know we needed carts, went and clocked in and still no help. I went out on my own. I pushed carts and got told off by a few people. Not that they would bring their carts back after but whatever.
Next I became a cashier. Being told off again because some price somewhere was wrong and that I didn't have the ads for the people to price match. I then became the customer service person. She needed a lunch and apparently no one else was available.
No big deal. Then came the hard stuff. I was left alone to deal with the rest of the night and the rest of the pissed off people who had to stand in a line. It is just a line. You know when you go to walmart you will be there forever. We are trying. It isn't that we WANT to keep you all standing there getting even pissier. I thought the same thing till I worked there.. I really thought they did it on purpose. We don't.
My favorite line from a customer was that I should let Sam Walton know that the ads he is running on TV that claim to have more lines open and better customer service that we are false advertising. I didn't want to waste my breathe but 1. Sam Walton is dead. 2. We do have "more lines open" .. normally we would have one but I got a person to stay later. 3. There is no customer service. They went home!!
See I told you I was pissed.
Then we get to the break down part. Thats right.. I CRIED!! I was so mad at myself for crying. But I did. I cried. After running the store alone we get the night crew on. They are SOOO not my favorite at all. They left rotten food for the "day shift" last night because they were proving a point. What point? We don't have the people to help us get rid of it. You have more cashiers than I had all night and 23 customers all night. Back off and help out. As a team we sure don't work as one.
So .. that was the end of the night. It made me late and it made me upset. I got home and the boys are all asleep so I didn't even get to be with Dallas for a few kisses and hugs. There are dishes piled way to high to even know where to start. ( I will start them tommorow)
It is finally hitting the stress of the week and how scared I am. We need all the prayers we can get. I am so worried about Tyler having seizures. I can't see them but it isn't something that can't happen given his brain damage. The thought of one more thing to add to his long list is so hard for me right now. We need a break for him. He is such an amazing kid.. So.. those who read... send out the plea. Prayers for Tyler and that we are home FAST!!!
So that is my vent. I know that I am super sensitive. I am hormonal and have had hot flashes all day. I am more emotional than I normally would be an this shouldn't be a big deal.. but it is.
Ok.. I am done.. I feel somewhat better.

"Winter storm" watch..... Arizona style
You hear the words winter storm watch and it varies depending on where you live. When I lived in Indiana it meant BIG huge snow flakes and blizzards and ice storms that we so beautiful. The beauty was short lived when you walked in it or tried to drive but it was such a breath taking sight.
Living in Utah you think cold, gray skies hoping for a snow fall to make the gray better. You expect black ice and you start a fire, sit in your PJ's and sweaters and a blanket and watch it fall.
Well, we were on a Winter storm watch here. Being our first winter here I was curious as to what this entailed. Did it mean cold, ice like weather ( yeah right) or maybe snow ( not in 70 degree weather) Or did it mean it was just gonna be less sunny.
Well sometime this Friday morning it started. I woke up from my nap to hear the sound of rain and feel the cool air. The rain didn't stop till about 2 am Saturday. On my way to work all the fields were flooded, the roads were flooded, and the street by the Church had major pot holes. But it was warm. Very warm and very refreshing. I LOVE the rain, but only when it comes once in a while and is a quiet storm with no lighting and thunder.
The one thing I can't understand.... why do Arizonans act like they have no idea how to drive when the rain starts? The normal free way speed here is 80. Today it was 60 or below. Its not like in 70 degree weather the chance of Ice increases.
None the less.. the parking lot at work was a disaster and the high IQ's of some of our customers never ceased to amaze me. Who knew when you told someone that the door was locked they would still keep walking and go and check... yeah.. like I said High IQ's.
It ended great and the storm was very refreshing. It was great to spend the day in my PJ's and in a hoodie watching the "winter storm" roll in... and then roll out!!!
