Darn it. I don't need roofing supplies.

When picking the newest fad in "What can I get that is abnormal and kinda bad luck and rather a little on the funny side" I picked shingles.

That is right. SHINGLES.

Also know as the herpes zoster or the varicella virus. If put in real terms, I have a recurring of my past. The past of chicken pox.

Around Thursday last week I noticed a weird feeling on my C-section scar. My section scar goes hip to hip. ( I know, the actual chance of complication is like, less than 10 percent... what can I say) But the scar is also really badly put together. I had a small tummy tuck with it resulting in a jigsaw of nerves and messes. I noticed the side of it feeling like it was coming apart. So I went to the best judges of anything I need and asked my Facebook buddies what the heck it could be.

The most answers was " I didn't have one. Go call your doc." So I took their advice and did. But the OB and I decided I wasn't going to die and to save a gas fill up to take a jog up to my Family doc. So I did.

I told him what it was. He asked to see it. ( not a pretty place I might add!) and he starts poking at it and said " Gee I am glad I have had the chicken pox because you have shingles." I was horrified. Um shingles can cause major birth defects. Not to mention I had a small problem with Ty's vaccines. I had put of 2 of them. One being the Varicella one. So I was frantic.

Ty had been with hid grandparents on Friday. Ty's Aunt comes over every Sunday and she has a immunosupressant child. I was SICK SICK to my tummy. I couldn't imagine having to hear that I gave Noah something as UGLY as the chicken pox and not just a cold. His other sweet sister lives there with a new(er) baby and I felt so sick.

My sister had been to my house a few days ago and she spent the afternoon with a cancer patient and a kidney transplant patients. Again, SICK TO MY STOMACH. ( Turns out it was BEFORE the rash. HOORAY)

Then what about my own child and the unborn kiddo. Turns out, Ty had his vaccine when his Doc just reminded me to get them done and we did them all at the same time. And the unborn. From what we can gather anything before 14 and anything in the third trimester is REALLY bad. But the second was the best of the worst to get it. So we are hoping we are OK.

Plan of action is to avoid as many places with small children as possible until I am on my anti virals long enough. ( A few days) Then avoid touching/itchy/looking/ the infected area until it gets scabbed over.

It hurts like a beast! My scar feels like it is ripping apart and my hip is inflamed and on fire! So warm baths and sleep work pretty good. Oh did I mention the one on my FACE. Yeah. it rocks.

So basically, I ache like I have the flu, stuffy like the flu, itchy like the pox and swollen like herpes. SWEET.

Next up, how to dry wall.......

Please detour

As previously noted me and Tyler had a appointment this morning in Phoenix today. We got up in plenty of time to make the trip and even had time for a early morning date for Ty for breakfast. (We were out of oatmeal and waffles, the staples of my 2 year old) Anyway, we left an hour before our appointment even though 45 minutes is PLENTY of time in the middle of the morning.

As we started everything was going smoothly. The 60 was going great and I noticed the signs saying that the 17 was closed. ( I get that you out of staters have NO idea what I am talking about.) The US 60 is a SIX LANE freeway. It turns into the I-10 that takes you into downtown and has a spaghetti bowl of sorts to send people to Tucson, Flagstaff and L.A. Well one of the L.A/Flagstaff freeways was closed. Some how that made it so that they closed off the main freeway into downtown. However, the sign didn't say that.

The stop and go traffic somehow took us off the main road and onto a surrounding freeway and right into downtown ghetto. I have no idea how the heck to get a round and I feel the panic rising. I do the best I can to get right back on the freeway and head back home.

We rescheduled till Monday where hopefully the traffic with comply with Tyler and I.

Just for my moms laughing pleasure...... I have a cold sore! I was going to call and complain but thought I would just tell you here. It hurts like a beast and I look horrible. One side of my nose is HUGE!! WHY ME?

I am going to take a picture of my "outbreak" so you all in bloggy world can see my pain!

Sick and Tired... a rant.. by ME!!

I am sick and tired of being sick and tired. I feel great until the end of the day then I am sore and tired. I sit down in the day and yep.. I fall asleep. I try to have patience with Ty and low and behold temper tantrum central. His newest antic is to bang his head on the floor. Not just the nice carpet but the TILE in the KITCHEN. Yep.. I followed him in their this morning when he was mad and grabbed his expensive head as he banged it on the floor. That is a 100 k head.. Makes me SOOOO mad.

Dallas got hurt so he is in a lot of pain. It is frustrating because I know he is not feeling well but at the same time neither am I. I really really need a day to sleep in before I go back to work. I really NEED it.. I swear.

Speech was so frustrating for me today. He never seems to improve. I am so glad he can at least show me what he wants and can follow directions so that I am not so freaking frustrated. I know that it is just life. GRRRR!!!!!

It is frustrating to still be waiting on his walker. It has taken almost 3 months from the time we started this process for a 200 dollar piece of equipment that I volunteered to pay cash for. But because they have a contract with our insurance company Ty has to wait. 4 more weeks at least.. how frustrating for a small mount of Independence.

Oh not to mention I am sporting the Herpes look on my face. It is horibble and awful this time around. Not to mention it hurts like a beast. I just want to hide and cry...
