Wordless Wednesday

I have had a lot of this child lately. He is in trouble and in time out and whines all day.

But it was nice and refreshing to see this child:

Add water in any way to this kid and that smile emerges. Even in freezing cold water in the early morning. If only days were ALWAYS like that!

My little piggies toes.
Today I was playing "These little piggies goes to market" and after we were done playing he came into Dallas office and said "mom" ( one of the few words he can say) then he made the pig noise and would lay down and put his feet in the air.
He is an amazing kid. He is a smart kid.
I love these little piggies.

Prematurity Awareness day

November 12th is prematurity awareness day. It is a day that we honor the countries tiniest citizens. Before September 21st 2005 I had no idea that this day existed. I am proud to be a mom of a miracle.

Despite my feelings of the March of Dimes they are sponsoring a petition for Preemies. Their motto is every baby deserves their nine months. Please take the time to support miracles from the Past, present and future and help eliminate prematurity.

The preemie petition:

1. We urge the federal government to increase support for prematurity-related research and data collection as recommended by the Institute of Medicine and the Surgeon General’s Conference on the Prevention of Preterm Birth, to:
* (a) identify the causes of premature birth;
* (b) test strategies for prevention;
* (c) improve the care, treatment and outcomes of preterm infants;
* (d) and better define and track the problem of premature birth.
2. We urge federal and state policymakers to expand access to health coverage for women of childbearing age and to support smoking cessation programs as part of maternity care.
3. We call on hospitals and health care professionals to voluntarily assess c-sections and inductions that occur prior to 39 weeks gestation to ensure consistency with professional guidelines*.
4. We call on businesses to create workplaces that support maternal and infant health. ( This will be posted in the next few days.)

*The American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology recommends that, unless medically indicated, scheduled deliveries should be after 39 weeks. This is because biological variations and uncertainties in estimating the beginning of a pregnancy introduces inaccuracies when assigning the due date. Preterm birth rates can be reduced by performing scheduled deliveries after 39 weeks.

There is this "look" that Ty gives.. It happens a lot. Like every time he hears or sees the camera. It happens when he laughs or looks at us. He wrinkles his nose, he smiles real big. Why is he so stinking cute?!!!

I was trying out a new setting on my camera and also wanted to capture Tyler and his light sticks. He was given light sticks for his birthday and at night we go outside and play. This night we turned out the lights and let him go at it. He LOVES his chair and the lights do a great job for his eye"Therapy."
Plus he is super SUPER cute!!

I feel like the luckiest mom in the entire world. Dallas took this picture the other day. There are so many days,nights,hours,minutes and 3 years that I feel so lucky to be his mommy!

Isn't he the sweetest thing ever!

Should be WORDLESS but isn't Wednesday

Ty has fallen in love with Animals. He HATED this horse for almost 2 years. Now they are friends. He even kisses it. He even likes to ride it!


A few weeks ago we had a HUGE fire over by Yuma. It made some really amazing sunsets and some really yucky air. Although it isn't the greatest picture it was a awesome site!


Ty has decided that watching movies with his dad is way better than watching them on his own. Dad is a good sport even if he HATES ....HATES barney. This picture is Ty hanging on Dads chair while dad is "out of the office"

You remember the night that he was NOT sleeping and was playing instead. Well this is what he was doing.


I tried to get him to go to sleep on the floor with me but he wouldn't have it. He was so pleasant so I wasn't to upset.


He wanted to go out and play but he couldn't go out front because he wouldn't use his walker. He brought me his shoes but didn't want pants. So here he is, throwing rocks.


Him and his dad. They were staking out the apple store till Francis got there. She had Ty till I got home. They were having so much fun. I was surprised that Ty stayed awake. He had spent the last 4 hours swimming!


Playing in the buff with the apple box. He won't stay out of that office!! And he won't let me put on a bum!

Wordless Wednesday

Makes you wonder if this child has parents huh. He didn't get into the street!!! I promise!! It is true that he crawls around in the rocks just to get to a place where he can stand up and throw them.We have no idea if he can feel that they hurt or not. He walks the rocks over to us so we can help him. He loves throwing rocks. I feel bad for our neighbors and their windows!!!!

Whenever I get baby hungry I take a look at this cute thing and realize they grow up!! He was cute and tiny and he slept. ONCE UPON A TIME!!!

Wordless Wednesday ( Today is not so wordless)

So I am going to explain my picture today. There is a special little girl that I love like my own that I was looking forward to visiting in a few weeks. Since we are not going to be there I thought I would show everyone a favorite picture of her. It was on my wedding and she was so sad the whole day because I was busy doing things and she wasn't able to do them all with us. So here is Alexis and her VERY chubby brother Kayden on my wedding day.

Some things about Lexi!!!

One thing about Lexi is she is such a sweetie. She is so aware of her surroundings and the things going on around her. Her little brother had a kidney transplant to make him "better," In her own seven year old mind she was talking to her mom about Tyler and what is "wrong" with him. She asked why he can't just get a brain transplant to make him all better.

She calls Tyler "TyTy" and I am Nana. I was the first word that she said. ( I did it with coaxing and chocolate pudding but she still loved me!!)

Her first full sentence was on a tape that her and Grandpa made me while I was on my mission. I listened to it over and over. She said "Nana I milked a cow!!"

She is a very special kid. I love her and hope she knows that I will miss her till she can come and visit!!
