Doubloons

We are back on the potty training band wagon. We have had one to many "assidents" in the tub lately. Mostly he tends to hold it if we are out of the house so he won't go in his pants. ( Generally any way!) It is really bad to have to clean out our tub and frankly it is really gross. Plus I have to get mad at him. Like REALLY mad for him to understand it is yucky. He gets put in the shower and he is crying and I am crying and bleaching everything everywhere. It is just yucky.

Since the Pirate show he has shown and interest in them so I got the idea that maybe a treasure chest with real gold coins would work. Had no luck finding one. I had a little time to spare the other day so I went to the party store. BINGO... a treasure chest.

When Ty got home I put the treasure chest together. Told him he could play with it for a day and then we would use the coins to earn a party with Jake and the Pirates with the "kids." He was totally on board. He told Aunt Nicky and Grandma he had a pirate treasure chest and that he will earn "doubloons" for going pee pee in the potty.

We were gone all day today so no trying out our system but tomorrow afternoon, we are working for Doubloons!

I haven't figured out what prizes are best for his small victories ( if there are any!) but I hope that we can find something.
