Splurge and Save

So Lisa tagged me to do Ten things in which I splurge and save. I don't know if I have ten of them so we will see.....


Save:
1. I am a "new" coupon cutter. I have decided I really am obsessed with cutting coupons and using them. Anything that I can see a visible discount I am all for. I have found a way to maximize my coupon saving and using my 10% discount card at walmart. Cheap skate!!
2. I price match my groceries. I set out all the local ads and make my list. I put down the price that it is on sale at the local store and then I go to walmart and price match everything. If walmart is cheapest I I just cross out the matched price on my grocery list. YES!! I am that person at the grocery store that holds everyone up making sure the price is right!!! BUT I am also the person who for 4 months has not paid over 2 bucks for a gallon of milk!!
3.I never pay more than three or four dollars for Ty's clothes. PJ's are harder to find but if I hit the sales and look for the deals I can find them. I love Kohl's sales and I HATE clothes that have characters on them. So I guess I am picky but cheap.
4. I buy online. If I can find it cheaper online I do. Someplaces have like site to store so I don't have to pay shipping.
5. I try and find the cheapest gas and there are many websites to help me find the cheapest place.

I don't have ten places in which I save... Most of my savings is in the first 2. .So sorry.

Splurge:
1.Going out on dates with Dallas. We hire sitters and we pay them rREALLY REALLY well. Not only does it ensure that we will have a sitter next time we go out but then I know that I am getting what I pay for.
2. We like to go out to yummy resturants to eat dinner. Places like RA and Red Lobster. I have even enjoyed RA, they have the yummiest sushi.
3. I don't care how much we pay I want decent internet. So we splurge on that.
4. I don't care how high our bill is but I am a huge air conditioner fan. Living here in AZ I don't care how big the bill is I want to live in 73 degress in the summer.
5. Yummy cuts of meat. I love a good steak and Dallas is great at finding good ones. BUT if you look at the save... I can find the on sale and Basha's have some great sales.
6. I don't save on Ty's medical care. I don't care how much it puts us in debt ( DUH!! Take a look at what we owe doctors) I will get him the best care possible. He deserves it and I won't have anything less than the best for him.
7. Nice techy toys for Dallas. I would work extra hours if he wanted that new toy. In order for him to do his job he needs a good computer so I might as well make sure he is happy!!


That is all I can think of in the splurge. I think we splurge more than than save but I save a alot with the groceries. Again.. that ten percent card does wonders on so many things.
