"The child must know that he is a miracle, that since the beginning of the world there hasn’t been, and until the end of the world there will not be another child like him.” Pablo Casals

I feel like a mommy and I am my mommy
So somehow in the midst of not having enough to do I volunteered to help his teacher, Miss Arlene, make gingerbread/sugar cookie men. Of course keeping in mind my ability to be domestic I thought I would be a fabulous cook this time and got all set.
I started AFTER work ( which is 11 pm) and made it from scratch ( well someone made it from scratch... Thank you Betty Crocker.) and made my first batch. Lets just say sugar cookie men were BROWN!
Tried the next batch! SUCCESS! Lucky for Tyler there is only 9 kids in his class. I finished up the cookie bag and got his bag together.
Made his little teacher and her aide and the bus driver and her aide a little goody bag. Filled the book bag with the treats... ( oh but had to drive BACK to walmart to get the rest of the stuff)
Oh and I while I baked. I listened to Doug Wright. Yep. I am my mom.
But.... I feel excited... Christmas is SOON.
P.S. I finished putting everything together....3:24 am.

I'm turning into my mom too, only in different ways. I keep the house cold, cause I'm cheep, have started making nearly everything from scratch, and yes, I also listen to NPR! I guess our moms knew some things after all, huh?
